Check your eligibility with the online Quick-Check and apply online with a BundID or BayernID account; the fee (€255 per adult in 2026) is paid before submitting. Processing takes 18 months or longer, and status enquiries are not answered during processing. Contact is in writing or through the city's 115 service number.
