If you move your residence to Germany from outside the EU, household goods, private vehicles and household supplies can usually be imported free of duty as relocation goods (Übersiedlungsgut), declared with form 0350; items used commercially never qualify. Berlin's customs offices belong to the Hauptzollamt Berlin; find the right one with the online office finder. Zollamt Schöneberg (Kufsteiner Straße 71 - 79, 10825 Berlin) clears goods sent by post. The central information service has an English line.
