About this service

Free, anonymous helpline for anyone who is struggling – loneliness, worries, grief, suicidal thoughts – day and night: 0800 111 0 111, 0800 111 0 222 or 116 123. Trained volunteers listen without judging. Chat and e-mail counselling are available on the website. Phone calls are in German only; the website's international page lists helplines in other languages (calls abroad cost money), and e-mail is an option if you write some German. In Berlin it is run by the church-based TelefonSeelsorge Berlin-Brandenburg.
