About this service

A free service for all Berlin tenant households that checks whether your rent breaks the rent cap (Mietpreisbremse). When a new lease starts, the rent may as a rule be no more than 10% above the local comparative rent. Advice is by phone or in person by appointment. Phone lines are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00–12:00 and Tuesday and Thursday 14:00–17:00. Run by Mieterberatung Prenzlauer Berg and asum for the public body Sicheres Wohnen (SIWO).
