About this service
The federal programme Migrationsberatung für erwachsene Zuwanderer gives newcomers over 27 free, confidential advice on learning German, recognition and jobs, housing, health insurance, and family matters, usually during the first years after arrival. It is delivered by welfare organisations such as AWO, Caritas, Diakonie, Der Paritätische, the Red Cross and ZWST. Use the BAMF-NAvI map to find a centre near your Berlin address; under-28s go to a Youth Migration Service instead.
