About this service
Berlin's immigration authority (Ausländerbehörde). The main site deals with residence permits for family and humanitarian reasons, au pairs, self-employment, volunteer services, permanent residence and extensions of toleration papers. Visits are by appointment only. The old online booking system has been shut down for good: use the LEA's online application for your purpose, or the contact form of the responsible unit, and the LEA invites you after checking your documents. Urgent cases can be raised through the contact form with proof.
