About this service

Charité, Berlin's university hospital, runs emergency departments on three campuses: Mitte (Rudolf-Nissen-Haus, Philippstraße 10, 10117), Virchow-Klinikum in Wedding (Augustenburger Platz 1, 13353, including a children's emergency department) and Benjamin Franklin in Steglitz (Hindenburgdamm 30, 12203). Go there, or call 112, for serious or life-threatening problems. For urgent but not life-threatening illness outside practice hours, 116117 and the on-call practices are usually the better route. Bring your health card and ID.
