  • Cost varies

About this service

If you have a low income and need legal advice or out-of-court representation, apply for Beratungshilfe at the local court (Amtsgericht) for your main registered address. Its legal application office (Rechtsantragstelle) may answer simple questions or take down an application itself; otherwise it issues a certificate for a lawyer of your choice, who may charge you €15. Bring ID with registration certificate, proof of income, lease, three months of bank statements and letters about the problem. Try advice services first.
