About this service

The national agency (formerly called ANTS) that handles driving licences, vehicle registration and ID document applications online. Holders of a licence from outside the EU/EEA who settle in France usually have one year from the start of their normal residence to apply online to exchange it; the application requires a €40 electronic tax stamp in 2026. You can keep driving with your licence while the file is processed, which may take several months.
