About this service
The French information centre on the academic and professional recognition of diplomas. For jobs that are not regulated, it issues a certificate of comparability (attestation de comparabilité) that states the level of a foreign diploma compared with French studies; an employer or university may ask for it, but it is not compulsory. You apply online and receive the certificate by email; the fee is €120 (asylum seekers and refugees are exempt). Regulated professions follow separate procedures.
