District
Puente de Vallecas
A large district in the south-east with an active community life, Metro line 1 along Avenida de la Albufera, Cercanías stations, the Rayo Vallecano stadium and some of the lowest asking rents in the city.
Overview
Puente de Vallecas (District 13) lies in the south-east of Madrid, bounded by the M-30 to the west, the A-3 to the north, the Madrid–Zaragoza railway and the M-40 to the south-east and the river Manzanares to the south-west. It grew from the former municipality of Vallecas, which was absorbed by Madrid. With about 240,900 residents, it is one of the city's most populous districts.
Its six wards are Entrevías, San Diego, Palomeras Bajas, Palomeras Sureste, Portazgo and Numancia.
