About this service
Issues the tax number (NIF), handles income tax (IRS), the IFICI regime and tax address changes. Most procedures are online on the Portal das Finanças (e-balcão); in-person service at tax offices and Citizen Shops is by appointment. The telephone contact centre answers on working days 9:00–19:00.
