About this service

Issues Dutch driving licences and registers vehicles. You exchange a foreign driving licence at your municipality, which forwards the application to the RDW; valid EU/EFTA licences can always be exchanged, licences from other countries only if listed, or under the rules for people who qualify for the expat scheme. The RDW site has the country list, documents and what happens if exchange is not possible.
