Runs Ireland's public health services, including public hospitals, community care, the medical card, the GP visit card and the Drugs Payment Scheme. People who are ordinarily resident in Ireland are entitled to public health services free or at reduced cost; GP visits are paid privately unless you hold a medical card or GP visit card.
