Jobcenter Berlin – all 12 district Jobcenters
Official
About this service
Berlin has 12 Jobcenters, one for each district; the one for the district where you live is responsible for you. Jobcenters administer means-tested basic income support for people who can work but cannot cover their living costs. Since 1 July 2026 this benefit is called Grundsicherungsgeld; it replaced the Bürgergeld. Unemployment benefit based on contributions (Arbeitslosengeld) is paid by the Agentur für Arbeit instead.
