About this service
The Familienkasse of the Federal Employment Agency pays child benefit (Kindergeld) and the child supplement (Kinderzuschlag). You apply to the Familienkasse responsible for you, either through the agency's online services or on paper; a local office search is available on its website. The free line answers general questions; payment questions have a separate free line, 0800 4 555533, and callers outside Germany use +49 911 12031010.
