Clearing office for people without health insurance (Clearingstelle)
Non-profit
About this service
Confidential advice for anyone living in Berlin without (adequate) health insurance, for example after a gap in cover or with an unclear EU insurance status. Social workers check how you can get into statutory or other cover and, if that is not possible soon, can in some cases pay for necessary treatment; this is decided in a personal meeting. You may use a pseudonym. Walk-in hours Mon 10:00–12:30, Wed 13:00–16:30, Thu 10:00–12:30 (arrive early); appointments by phone. Funded by the Senate, run by Berliner Stadtmission.
