About this service
Berlin's citizens' offices handle residence registration (Anmeldung), which is due within 14 days of moving in and is free, along with many other local administrative services. You can use any Bürgeramt in Berlin, not only the one in your district. Most work by appointment, booked online or via the 115 phone service; extra slots are added daily when capacity allows, and some locations list walk-in offers. German and EU citizens aged 18+ with an eID-enabled card and a BundID account can also register online.
